Following the example of human surgical and medical progress, achieved thanks to a significant transfusional support, progress in veterinarian surgery and medicine are to be achieved thanks to an effective and reliable transfusion therapeutic.
Determining blood types represents an essential precondition to make animals benefit from transfusion support. Nowadays, it is an established fact that a dog or a cat has a significant probability of being transfused once or more in his lifetime.
That’s why academic centres have focused their research on a better knowledge of blood typing for dogs and cats. The company Innov.Id is proud to enable veterinarian community to benefit from its last progress by putting at their disposal a typing system based on the technique of « Gel test » and of other well-tried reagents.
Those systems have been greatly assessed at the « Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire » of Lyon and at the University of Pennsylvania, US.
